The Aquadolls are a self-proclaimed group of mermaids making light, pretty sea-grunge-pop, and it totally works. I haven't been able to stop listening since I first heard their last EP. Fronted by head mermaid 19-year-old Melissa Brooks, the California bunch is making waves (get my mermaid/beach reference? waves? lol) in the beach pop scene. You may say, oh man, another beach-pop girl-group Best Coast sound. However, this doesn't come off as repetitive. It may not be the newest thing on the block, but it's damn good. What makes it stand out, you ask?

2 Our Love Will Always Remain - best track in my opinion. Lyrics, melody, vocals, everything is on point.
8 So High - slow jam, really beautiful and nostalgic. Play this with your honey while watching the sunset, smoking a few bowls before is optional.
6 Better Off Without Her - grungier track, filled with ooh-ahhs. Bassline is cool.
